Spider-man: Mr. Stark, I don’t feel so good.

Stark: You’re alright.

Spider-man: I don’t know what’s happening.. I don’t want to go.. please.. I don’t want to go. (as he fades away)

Spider-man: Mr. Stark, I’m sorry.

When Thanos vanished half of the world with a snap of his finger, this distressing scene of Spider-Man (Tom Holland) walking towards Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) while slowly disintegrating broke the hearts of many. It even stuck as a meme on the internet for months after the release of movie. It will never not be heartbreaking.

2. Bohemian Rhapsody

Ray Foster: It goes on forever, six bloody minutes.

Freddie Mercury: I pity your wife if you think six minutes is forever.

When EMI executive Ray Foster refused to release the six-minute song “Bohemian Rhapsody” as the album’s lead single, this humorous line was uttered by Freddie Mercury (Rami Malek) during the discussion of their fourth album A Night at the Opera.

3. Black Panther

T’Challa: We can still heal you…

Erik Killmonger: Why so you can lock me up? Nah. Just bury me in the ocean with my ancestors who jumped from ships, ’cause they knew death was better than bondage.

When T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) defeated Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) from their heart-stopping fight, T’Challa fulfilled the promise made by Killmonger’s father to watch the beautiful sunset in Wakanda. Afterward, T’Challa wanted to heal Killmonnger when he refused, uttering this line that struck a nerve.

4. Crazy Rich Asians

Astrid Leong: It’s not my job to make you feel like a man. I can’t make you something you’re not.

Fighting against the desires of your family is hard enough as it is when you come from an Asian family, but turning out to be wrong about the person you fought for is harder. Astrid Leong married her husband (who is not as wealthy as her) despite the disapproval of her family. When their marriage turned out to be a disaster, she did not just sit there and let her husband’s ego talk her down. Instead, she swallowed her pride and left her marriage to take care of herself and her kids. This scene was such a power move for all women who are in toxic relationships!

5. The Incredibles 2

Dashiell ‘Dash’ Parr: That’s not the way you’re supposed to do it, dad. They want us to do it this way.

Bob Parr: I don’t know that way. Why would they change math? Math is math!

Dashiell ‘Dash’ Parr: It’s okay, dad.

Bob Parr: Math is math!

When mom/superhero Elastic girl went on a mission to save the world,  Mr. Incredible was left to look after their children Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack. The then-superhero dad who faced multiple household tasks like taking care of Jack-Jack, cooking, and even doing Dash’s math homework got him insane. We feel ya, Mr. Incredible!

6. Deadpool 2

Blind Al: Listen to the pain. It’s both history teacher and fortune teller. Pain teaches us who we are, Wade. Sometimes, it’s so bad, we feel like we’re dying. But we can’t really live till we’ve died a little, can we? Wade? Wade?

Blind Al is Deadpool’s best friend/mother figure who he always runs back to whenever he’s facing difficult problems, laying low, or sometimes just hiding/getting some drugs. Along with Wade’s constant stay in Al’s house are life lessons that anyone can use in real life.

7. Love, Simon

Simon: Announcing who you are to the world is pretty terrifying, because what if the world doesn’t like you?

In some cases, coming out to the world is just as hard as coming out to your parents. We all have that fear of not being accepted by society. It’s even scarier when it’s about something you have no control over; like your sexuality, for example. We totally felt this line from Simon.

9. Ralph breaks the internet

Shank: There’s no law saying best friends have to have the same dream

Ralph Breaks The Internet taught us the real meaning of friendship. Sometimes, when you meet someone who gets you, you tend to stick with that person because you feel safe and comfortable around them. But as we grow older, we also grow apart. That doesn’t necessarily mean that we have to break the friendship just because we have different paths.

10.  A Star Is Born (2018)

Bobby: Music is essentially any note between twelve octaves. Twelve notes and the octave repeats. It’s the same story told over and over. All that the artist can offer the world is how they see those twelve notes. That’s it.

These words from Jack’s brother Bobby Maine (Sam Elliot) to Ally Maine (Lady Gaga) were uttered the morning after her husband, Jack Maine’s (Bradley Cooper) suicide. Being the alcoholic and trouble-making musician that he is, he felt like it’s as if he was dragging the young artist’s career below the ground. In one of the film’s most heart-wrenching moments, Bobby explained to Ally how he brought light to Jack’s life that he wouldn’t want to take it away from her. So (spoiler alert!) he took his own life instead.

11. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-verse

Miles: When will I know I’m ready?

Peter: You won’t. It’s a leap of faith. That’s all it is, Miles. A leap of faith.

This exchange between Peter Parker and Miles Morales is totally relatable. When faced with a situation where you have to take a risk, the best way to find out that you’re ready is a leap of faith.

12. Aquaman

Mera: Atlantis has always had a king. Now it needs something more. But what could be greater than a king? A hero.

From the movie Aquaman, we learn that not all kings are great leaders and not all great leaders are kings. When Arthur was questioning his worthiness to be king of Atlantis, Mera reminded him that he was a hero.
