Ever since footage of Sarah Geronimo‘s breakdown in her concert in Las Vegas circulated, other celebrities have opened up about the hardships of being in the showbiz industry as well as the physical and mental sacrifices that one has to make in order to be successful in the industry. One of these celebrities is comedian, host, and actor, Vice Ganda, who recently opened up about his struggle with depression. RELATED: WATCH: Vice Ganda’s Tear-jerking Surprise For His Mother When asked about his thoughts on what happened to Sarah during an interview with ABS-CBN, Vice shares, “I actually experienced the same thing just recently. Na-depress ako. I underwent depression. I actually had to meet a doctor, and asked for professional help.
In fact, I am so blessed. I am so happy pala. Every day, naka-mind set ako — I have to be happy, I embrace my happiness and my blessings, and I have to serve my purpose. Kaya every day sa ‘Showtime,’ nagpapatawa ako dahil iyon ang purpose ko, at iyon ang masaya akong ginagawa ko,” he said. In light of Vice sharing his experience his depression, his fans took to social media to express their support for him.
