7 Reasons Why Nicholas Scratch Is The Better Boyfriend

Let’s settle this ‘Nabrina’ versus ‘Harbrina’ debate once and for all. We know that both Gavin Leatherwood (who plays Nicholas Scratch) and Ross Lynch (who plays Harvey Kinkle) are both hot af, BUT even Sabrina has to choose one and stay in her lane.

In Part 2 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the Harvey-Sabrina-Nicholas love triangle heightens, but there’s one clear winner.

The verdict: Nicholas Scratch is the better boyfriend and here are 7 reasons why:

1. Nick loves both sides of Sabrina

On Season 1 Part 1 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Nick introduced himself as the “best binder and conjurer since Edward Spellman” and he proved himself when he helped Sabrina conjure three powerful demons. He truly deserves the title, “young and handsome warlock of the Academy of Unseen Arts.” And even though being a half-breed is frowned upon at the academy, Nick didn’t make Sabrina feel like she was inferior.

2. Nick is a jack of all trades, master of all

Nick has a total of seven powers and abilities, namely, spell casting, conjuration, necromancy, astral projection, warding, telekinesis, and longevity. And our dearest warlock mastered it all.

3. Nick is selfless

Nick is a selfless warlock who is always there to help Sabrina, her family, and friends. Even though he has feelings for Sabrina, he still protected the teenage witch’s now ex-boyfriend when the Greendale Thirteen and the Red Angel of Death cast wrath all over Greendale.

4. Nick will take a dangerous dive at the Devil’s Triangle for Sabrina

On the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 2, Sabrina was looking for her father’s manuscript that could potentially change the way witches and warlocks lived their life. But the manuscript was in the deepest part of the Devil’s Triangle; where dangerous creatures lurked. Using a spell and a bathtub full of water to act as if it was the ocean, she transported Nick to the Devil’s Triangle and our dearest warlock fought off a giant squid to get the manuscript back. Who doesn’t want a courageous warlock boyfriend who would fight a giant squid for you?

5. Nick would sacrifice his own life for love

On Part 2 Episode 9, Sabrina planned to put Lucifer inside the Acheron Configuration but the latter was too powerful to trap. Lilith then suggested that a “human” body would be a better trap, so Nick decided to sacrifice himself by binding Lucifer (hey, ‘greatest binder since Edward Spellman’) to his body. Imagine volunteering to entrap The Dark Lord without an ounce of hesitation? Only Nicholas Scratch!

6. Nick is a romantic warlock

Nick confessed to Sabrina that he will choose love like what Sabrina and Harvey have over the benefits of being a witch (most of them are polygamous). And this warlock has proven his love and loyalty (nevermind his “order” from Lucifer) to Sabrina time and time again. We especially loved the part where he chose to go to Baxter High’s Valentine’s Day ball instead of celebrating Lupercalia.

7. Nick supports Sabrina unconditionally

Enough said.

You know what they say… “first love never dies, but true love can bury it alive.” Case closed. And for those who are still skeptical about Nicholas Scratch— a little bit of bad is good.
