There’s no stopping Penshoppe in growing more as a global brand. From having international ambassadors for their clothing line, comes their next step in dominating the industry — Beauty Pop by Penshoppe, their official beauty line.
Penshoppe introduces a new line of beauty products by releasing 18 different shades of “Hydramatte” and “Litematte” lipsticks with famous Victoria Secret Models, Romee Stijd and Lais Ribiero as the faces of the line.
Behind The Name
Yesterday, they held an event at The Fifth Rockwell Events Hall to launch the new lipstick line. With Penshoppe, you can expect them to go big or go home. By bringing the headlining supermodels to the event, the VS models shared their love for the new line. The event was filled with neon photo booths, glam swatching areas, interactive games, food and drink stalls that could definitely satisfy the sweet tooth.
Beauty Pop was created to celebrate being born beautiful! According to Jeff Bascon, Vice President for Brand Management of Golden ABC., the goal of the brand is to highlight this already present beauty that everyone innately has, “We want our customer’s natural beauty to pop…with Beauty Pop by Penshoppe!”
The lipsticks is priced at P219 each which is considered a normal price range for local lipsticks to cost. We can attest that the price did not hinder the quality of these lipsticks.
This line of lipstick products come in two finishes namely the “Hydramatte” and Litematte” lipsticks that deliver two different matte finishes that are formulated in Japan.
1. Hydramatte Lipsticks
The Hydramatte lipsticks are said to moisturize your lips with it being made with an antioxidant, Vitamin E, while still giving full coverage and a velvet finish.
While the Litematte lipsticks are lightweight, long-wearing and highly buildable since it has a powder-like, blurring properties.
Both types of lipsticks are comfortable to wear, being so lightweight that it won’t give you crusty lips. You may have to build up some of the shades in the line when you want to achieve a fuller lip color.
We recommend, the Hydramatte lipsticks for everyday use for a smoother and fuller application to the lips. While the Litemattes are perfect for a bold and colorful lip. The quality of both lipsticks are quite impressive as it lasted on our lips the whole day even after eating tons of ice cream–plus it’s not super transfer-proof. The lipsticks can also be multi-purpose as a blush since it is very blendable on the cheeks, perfect for those makeup on-the-go days!
With its very velvety finish, the lipsticks as well are more delicate and prone to breaking off (which happened to us, unfortunately.) So we advise that you check the lipstick first before leaving the store!
The packaging of the line is to-die-for! One of our favorite feature of the line is its packaging. The gradient and matte look for its casing stand out with its colors. The Hydramattes are categorized by having a pink to blue gradient effect while the Litemattes come in orange to the pink gradient color. The actual lipstick is weighted at 3.6 G/o.12 oz and designed with a regular bullet point that is milk chocolate scented (very tempting to eat tbh)
Range of Shades
Each Hydramatte and Litematte lipsticks come in 9 different shades each which makes the line have 18 shades all in all. The range varies from nudes, reds to purples and bright pinks that can complement and satisfy the wants of all its customers!
