On October 9, 2018, we got the first look of the first virtual reality entertainment zone in the Philippines.
The Garage is a new attraction in the City of Dreams with a VR Zone and food park that brings guests to an immersive experience of casual dining and a day full of extraordinary fun!
The Garage’s VR Zone features games in a totally realistic experience! Produced by Bandai Namco Amusement, a leading video game development company from Japan, you will be sure to be knocked out of your shoes from exhilaration!
Activities in the VR Zone include:
Mario Kart Arcade GP VR
We all know this famous Nintendo game from our DS. But imagine if you get to play it in real life? Step into your own kart and compete with 3 more players for the Grand Prix! You can choose between the players, Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, or Yoshi. For three whole minutes, you get to experience the world of Super Mario and have the race of a lifetime with your friends!
Hospital Escape Terror
This horror room game is possibly the most terrifying virtual reality game ever made. The simulation starts with the story of you, finding yourself strapped in a wheelchair. You have to move your way forward through the scary, dark, and abandoned hospital without anything but a flashlight to help you escape. For a total of 9 minutes, you and your friends have to navigate through the game. If one of the participate dies, all the participants will be executed.
The goal of the game is to reach the bottom of a steep, snowy mountain by skiing downhill. You have two minutes to navigate the game and finish the course. You can play the game in pairs!
Ticket prices are available on site. A single player ticket is at P450 while packages are available for those playing in groups. P800 for two persons playing Ski Rodeo, P1,200 per person for three activities, and P1600 for a group of four, playing Hospital Escape Terror or Mario Kart.
There are safety guidelines, though. Take note on the following:
- Guests under 7 years old must have parental consent to experience some VR activities. Some activities may not be experienced below 13 years old, regardless of parental consent.
- Children below 18 years old must be accompanied by a legal guardian at all times.
- Guests with medical conditions such as pregnancy, motion sickness, or alcohol should refrain from engaging in VR activities.
- Wear comfy shoes and bring your contact lenses if you’re wearing glasses!
Enjoy the games of a lifetime while enjoying good food!
