Zendaya’s Tommy Hilfiger Collaborative Collection Will Show In Paris Fashion Week

It’s official: Tommy Hilfiger will head to Paris Fashion Week for the next ‘See-Now-Buy-Now’ show on March 2.

Just a few months ago, Tommy Hilfiger announced Zendaya as the new Global Women’s Ambassador and co-designer for the TommyxZendaya collaborative collection. Though the company declined to give the location for the show, all runway looks will be available via shoppable channels in more than 70 countries.

We’re certain that the collection will slay. Because Zendaya, who is known for her iconic and controversial red carpet looks, is no stranger to fashion.

Two years ago, Zendaya launched her own line, Daya by Zendaya, which featured genderless pieces. But this time, she collaborates with the American designer, Tommy Hilfiger, to create a TommyXZendaya capsule collection. The collection hopes to bring her unique and confident sense of style to all her fans around the world.

“I love to collaborate with people who are passionate about making their dreams a reality and who inspire the next generation to do the same,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “Zendaya has become a global icon, using fashion to make bold statements while always staying true to herself. Our capsule collection will fuse her eclectic style with the Americana spirit of our brand.”

The partnership celebrates Tommy Hilfiger’s continued vision to collaborate with icons who share the brand’s spirit and values of breaking conventions and celebrating diversity. For this collection, Tommy chooses Zendaya, an actress who has been bravely vocal about colorism in the Hollywood industry. Last April, in a BeautyCon event, Zendaya said, “I’m Hollywood’s acceptable version of a black girl.”

The actress and star of the upcoming film, Spider-Man: Far From Home surely brings buzz in the Hollywood scene. As she takes on roles such as Michelle, also known as “MJ,” Zendaya continues her advocacy to diversify Hollywood.

In addition, Zendaya said in an interview with Marie Claire: “I always tell my theatrical manager, ‘Anytime it says they’re looking for white girls, send me out. Let me get in the room. Maybe they’ll change their minds.’”

Indeed, it looks like Tommy Hilfiger made the right decision in choosing Zendaya.

Fashion is more than just wearing cool clothes,” said Zendaya. “It’s a way to celebrate self-expression and individuality, which is extremely empowering. This is why I am proud to partner with Tommy Hilfiger.”

We’re definitely excited to see the whole collection, which will drop in a see-now-buy-now runway show on March 2! Share this post if you can’t wait to see it too!
